While primarily designed for machine embroidery, water-soluble film can also enhance hand embroidery projects. It helps stabilize fine fabrics like silk or tulle, preventing distortion while stitching. Once the embroidery is complete, the film dissolves, leaving no marks.

Some crafters even use it to create standalone lace motifs by stitching directly onto the film and then washing it away. However, hand embroidery requires gentler handling to avoid tearing the film before washing.
